We don’t collect your personal data. None. Zip. Zilch. Nada. And we don’t want to!

We do everything we can to keep your data anonymous, and preferably away from our servers and database.

Can you delete your private data from our servers?

No! Because we don’t have your private data.

We only collect usage data. 

Specifically, we can see how many times a single device has pinged our database. We track that to stop nefarious bots that want to run up our server bills. 

We also track how many times an article was clicked. We don’t know who did it, we just know it got clicked! 

Subscribing to notifications makes us track which device has which subscription. You know – so we can send you the notification.

For this reason we use Firebase Cloud Messaging to handle the entire subscribe/unsubscribe flow and deliver the notifications too. Here is a link to their privacy policy and here is what it says about the service we use:

Firebase installation IDs

How it helps: Firebase Cloud Messaging uses Firebase installation IDs to determine which devices to deliver messages to.

Retention: Firebase retains Firebase installation IDs until the Firebase customer makes an API call to delete the ID. After the call, data is removed from live and backup systems within 180 days.
